We believe that libraries are essential for encouraging and fostering a lifelong love of reading, learning and exploration. Our library is proud to offer a variety of fun and educational programs, events and services for children of all ages.
From storytime and Books for Babies to our unique 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program, we have resources and programming to support children and families of all ages.
Reading Buddies – Little Buddies
Children entering grades 1-4 that are all level of readers, may apply to participate in KPL’s Summer Reading Buddies program, which pairs them with a teen volunteer Big Buddy for one-on-one reading time over four weekly sessions throughout the summer. Please note due to scheduling logistics, little buddies may not be matched with the same big buddy each week. Sign-up required.
