Register to Vote

Absentee Voting Information
As of August 28, 2022, the state of Missouri allows two options for voting prior to Election Day. The first option is absentee voting with an excuse that begins 6 weeks prior to Election Day and can be done via mail or in-person. The second option is no-excuse absentee voting and can only be done in-person. Find information at the County Website. Voter ID Information
According to the Secretary of State’s website. Missourians must show one of the forms of acceptable identification and sign the poll book to obtain your ballot: 1) A nonexpired Missouri driver or non-driver license; 2) A nonexpired military ID, including a veteran’s ID card; 3) A nonexpired United States passport; or 4) Another photo ID issued by the United States or the state of Missouri which is either not expired or expired after the date of the most recent general election. *If the driver or non-driver license has expired after the most recent general election, it is an acceptable form of voter ID.
If you do not possess any of these forms of identification but are a registered voter, you may cast a provisional ballot. Your provisional ballot will count if: (1) you return to your polling place on Election Day with a photo ID; or (2) the signature on your provisional ballot envelope is determined by your local election authority to match the signature on your voter registration record. If you cast a provisional ballot, you will receive a stub from your provisional ballot envelope with instructions on how to verify that your provisional ballot is counted.

City of Kirkwood

The City of Kirkwood’s Charter places administrative authority with the Chief Administrative Officer and legislative and policy-making authority with the City Council. The Mayor and six Council members are elected at large, meaning they serve all residents of Kirkwood equally. The City Council meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month at Kirkwood City Hall, 139 S. Kirkwood Road. The public is invited to attend. A time for public comments is provided for at the beginning of each meeting.
Missouri House of Representatives
Members of the Missouri House of Representatives serve two-year terms with elections held in even-numbered years. The House is comprised of 163 members. Click here to determine which representative is the elected official for your address.

U.S. House of Representatives
Also referred to as a congressman or congresswoman, each representative is elected to a two-year term serving the people of a specific congressional district. The number of voting representatives in the House is fixed by law at no more than 435, proportionally representing the population of the 50 states. U.S. Representatives are elected to two-year terms.
