Written by Pete Broeder and performed by the River Bound Band, this song was performed live for the Kick-Off event of Summer Reading on May 16th, 2015.

Verse 1:

I checked out a book
Right away I got hooked
An adventure on the open sea
A harpoon would stick in the side of Moby Dick
At the Kirkwood Library

Chorus:

Oh, they call it the Kirkwood Library
And you can take it from me
It’s a great place to know your brain will learn and grow
At the Kirkwood Library

Verse 2:

I read about Eeyore
Tigger, Rabbit, Owl and more
There was a honey jar and lot of bees
It had Kanga & Rue and Winnie the Pooh
At the Kirkwood Library

— Chorus —

Verse 3:

Monster stories are my thing
Frankenstein and Stephen King
I read them anxiously
I must declare, they really make me scared
I get ’em from the Kirkwood Library

— Chorus —

Verse 4:

I like green eggs and ham
My name is Sam I am
I even like them in a tree
There’s a fox on the loose, someone call Dr. Seuss
At the Kirkwood Library

— Chorus —

Submit a Large Format Print Request

KPL welcomes your requests, but please know that the library is not a replacement for a professional print shop. We will do our best to accommodate your requests but cannot guarantee a timely turnaround time, print quality or that we can process large orders.

If you have questions about whether we can accommodate your order, please contact 314-821-5770, option 5 before placing your request.

Complete the form below to submit your Large Format Print request to the Kirkwood Public Library.

  • General turnaround time is 24-72 hours, depending on staff availability.
  • Requests are generally printed once per weekday.
  • Upload as many files as you like, however large requests may be verified prior to printing.
  • Files should, if possible, be formatted to fit the desired print size. Small files can be scaled, but will distort and/or pixelate.
  • Upon completion, you will be notified via email.
  • Prints will be available to pick up at the Customer Service Desk and are held for 15 days after completion.
  • Once printed, your request must be picked up. Failure to pick up your request may lead to denial of future requests.
  • Once picked up, another print request may be submitted.

If you would like to pay for your print with a credit card, a valid Kirkwood Public Library card (or a library card from one of the Municipal Library Consortium libraries) is required for 3D Printing. Fees for printing will be charged to your library account and can be paid via credit card by logging into your account online. Please direct questions to (314) 821 5770, option 5.
