Indigenous Connections to the Land

July 2 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm

An image of Cahokia Mounds is on the right with words on the left. There is a logo for the Kathryn M. Buder Center for American Indian Studies at the top. The text says Indigenous Connections to the Land. Thursday, July 2nd at 7PM. Archaeological and Indigenous perspectives on the local Native American history of St. Louis. More Info at kplmo.org/events. At the very bottom in fine print there is an Institute of Museum and Library Services logo with fine print that says This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.

Many St. Louisans are unaware of the local Native American history and the relationship they had with the land for thousands of years. Eric Pinto (Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians/Zuni) is a local Native community member who will share archaeological and Indigenous perspectives on the local Native American history of St. Louis.
