At the 1904 World’s Fair, organizers and attendees looked back at the previous century while envisioning the new one ahead of them.  Before this 4th of July,  join us to learn how the fair exemplified and shaped Americans’ national identity.  Between the memory of westward expansion, America’s place on the world stage, and the anticipation of emerging technology, we’ll examine how the idea of progress dominated both the fair and America more broadly.
