Grant Funded Technology – 2026

By Nick  |  KPL News

Every year the Kirkwood Public Library receives funding through many different grants to enhance library programs and services. The items below were awarded as part of a 2025 Technology Ladder Grant which began in May 2025 and runs through April 2026.

We’ve replaced our four self check out machines in the library – two at our main desk and two in the Children’s Room. These devices are more compact, but are much faster than our old units. And best of all, they feature the same easy-to-use interface that you’re already familiar with. All self check out machine in the library can be used to checkout your books and view some of your account information. The two units at the main desk can accept your fine payments via credit card and release your prints from our public computers. We hope these new machines make your library using experience smoother and fun!

This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the LSTA as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
